Just bought a 93SSE with a very nice body, but with some things to fix. The oddest one is that the front courtesy lights, the ones near the rear view mirror, come on while the gear shift lever is in reverse. Must be a short somewhere. Anyone ever seen this behavior?

You most likely have a corroded ground buss at the driverside floorboard. That has been known to cause a lot of odd issues. Pulling back the carpet and cleaning the grounds usually does the trick.
