Default 92 Lesabre - can’t get caliper back on rotor. Bleed screw open.

I just changed the wheel bearing hub assembly on the front passenger side and cannot get the caliper back on the rotor. While it went a lot smoother than when I did the other side, I didn’t have this problem then. Do I need to start the engine for the piston to retract?

Thanks for any help.

Forgot to add I opened the bleed screw after I was unable to get the caliper back on.

Never mind. I used a clamp to compress the piston then closed the bleed screw. Figured it was simple despite the lack of helpful search results.

Yup, that'* the correct step that you were missing. Glad you got it figured out.
