Default 2017 Buick Verano 2.4 L 4cylinder oil burning issue

i’ve been having issues with my cars engine for a few months now, the last time i got the oil changed was almost around 1,500 miles ago.
about 500 miles into the oil change all of the engine oil had burnt up. so i added another 5 quarts, not even 1,000 miles later, all of that oil is now burnt as well, completely bone dry
i am estimating i’m losing around 1 quart of oil at least per week, and i don’t drive much, does anyone have any insight or advice on what i should do?

Is it leaking any oil?

How bad was oil consumption before that oil change 1,500 miles ago?

Is the check engine light on?

How many miles have you owned it?

it is not leaking any oil, the oil consumption before the 1,500 miles was good, meaning it didn’t burn much if any at all. the check engine and oil light has never came on once.
i bought the car with 57,000 miles and it currently has 115,000

This is an odd set of circumstances.

Since it had no issue before the oil change, and now it does, I wonder what kind of oil they put in it.

well, before the last oil change stated in the original post i only had my oil changed at a place called hoods up quick lube. i had the oil changed roughly every 4,000 miles. The most recent oil change (from the original post) was done at a Valvoline. i don’t think valvoline had anything to do with it though.

So . . .

4,000mi - change oil at hoods up quick lube - no issues
4,000mi - change oil at hoods up quick lube - no issues
4,000mi - change oil at hoods up quick lube - no issues
4,000mi - change oil at hoods up quick lube - no issues
4,000mi - change oil at hoods up quick lube - no issues
4,000mi - change oil at Valvoline
500mi - Oil all gone, added 5 quarts
1000mi - Oil all gone again

. . . right?

Why don't you think Valvoline had something to do with it?

Also, "bone dry" as described above would seize the engine . . . so I suspect the dipstick was bone dry, not the oil pan, right?

Totally guessing right now based on what I know of the situation: It is possible they put some really thin oil in there and it'* getting past the rings and then getting digested. The oil you put in lasted twice as long, so that might confirm my guess.

When you put 5 quarts in after you found it bone dry after the first 500 miles, what was the reading on the dipstick?
