2012 Buick Lacrosse airbag light is on
I am helping my friend. He got a 2012 Buick Lacrosse sedan with 3.6 L engine. The car was an accident. He replaced the driver airbag, driver seat belt and the airbag module with a used one. The original module had hard code that could not be reset with a scanner. The original airbag module number was13583432. The airbag light is still on with the replacement module and has the following codes: B3902:00-53 (Incorrect Immobilizer Identifier Recieved), B1001:00-D3 (option configration) and B0079:04-D3 (Driver Seat Position Sensor Circuit). Does he need to send the original for repairs? He checked the driver seat but he cannot find the seat sensor. He called GM dealership and they did not know. He called a different GM dealership and they told him it is on the seat railing. He check the seat railing but he still cannot find any sensor. What should he do? Thanks for your help.
If the original airbag module was replaced with a new one and it wasn't reprogrammed to the VIN of the vehicle, you'd probably get this issue.
Were any of the codes present before replacing stuff?
