The key fob for my 2011 Regal Turbo broke. Specifically the metal part that swivels where the key blade attaches cracked and the blade itself came out. I ordered a new fob, and it is coming with a blank key blade. I see the key blade is held in place by a small pin. The question is, would I be able to pop that pin and put the old key blade onto the new fob and have it work once the new fob is programmed to the car, or do I need to get the new blank cut and and programmed?
