Default Key Fob Quantity

I recently read somewhere, (can't remember where) that you can only have 2 key fob'* programed per car. Did I dream that or is that true and why?

I've tried to program more than two with mine and it won't.

Did you do that on the 95 Bonne? If you have 2 programed already, and you wish to add on more, making that 3, do you have to reprogram the other 2?

Frank..

Whatever you do.. make sure you have one. It doesn't look right when the wife and kid take the keys to your car and don't give you at least an FOB of your own.

IIRC 92-95 is two only. I believe 96+ you could have 4

Yes on the 95, It won't allow me to program any more than two remotes. Once you go into program mode you have to program or reprogram the two remotes that you want to work or they won't until you do so.

On my 93 and 95, you have to program all of them at once. IIRC, you can have either 5 or 6 on those years.

I currently have 3 FOB'* programmed for each of my cars. Two dedicated for each, and a third FOB that is programmed for BOTH cars with extra sets of keys for both cars.

All 3 fobs work on both cars, including the common fob that does both.

Please forgive me if I missunderstood. Just so we're on the same page, this question is for a 95 SSEi Keyless Entery Key Fob Programing. Will, did I understand correctly that you can and have programed 3 Key Fob for your 95 Bonne. In other words, it can be done??

Yes.

Frankly, I haven't tried more than three on either of my cars. But 3 works. FSM says. I'll look it up shortly.

And don't call me Shirley.
