Ok I can not speak with much authority about FI, I was a marine tech until 86 when my bulbs started to dim glasses are a pain in the bilge. FI had not worked its way into the marine biz yet. Ok had a few good runs the 07. is now showing about the same mileage as my 98 PA. They both now exhibit that a full size can beat quite a few of the imports on fuel.
Back to my thinking that some extra may have been dumped, I am a fairly consistent driver. But managed about 80 miles since my last post the indicated usage jumped from 16.3 to 19.5 I am pretty sure within a week or so it will be over 20 as it was. Also the pipe is running cleaner almost no black on my finger.

If the adaptives were reset (disconnect battery) it takes a little time to 'learn' again.
