2003 lesabre blower motor change
Changing a blower motor on a 2003,
the new motor comes with a mounting bracket flange. (may or may not be needed they say)
So the motor won't mount to the original bracket, and there is at least one screw that
is almost impossible to reach to take out the original bracket. So the new one can be used.
any work around to this ??
Why won't they just make the new motor so it would fit the existing bracket ??

Where did you get it?
Yes mine looks like that one too.
But you will notice, there are no notches on the motor rim where it mounts and screws into the housing,
the motor I took out has 3 screw holes and 2 notches in the rim that line up with 2 pins or lugs on the housing.
See pic.
The new motor doesn't have the notches , so it won't fit in. Which is why you have to use the housing that cam with the
motor. Which is going to be a pain to get out.
What year and model is yours ?
