I know what you mean.. Trying to get something done with that today made me realize I'm too tall to crawl around to look under the dash, my arms are too long to maneuver around the engine, and my hands are too big to get at half of it. Unfortunately cars are getting worse and worse when it comes to electronics.. my parents have a 09 Impala, and its a real nice car to drive, bit everything is controlled by a computer.. Oh well, thats the price you have to pay to be "safe".
Hopefully i'll be able to track this down tomorrow. If not, I can live with it like this. Its just a little weird when I put the car in gear and the doors dont lock, and don't unlock when I put it in park.. it makes me think it didn't actually go in park.

Tried to fix this today.. didn't happen. I found the pcm, it is in the air box. I took everything apart, got the pcm out, found the other end of the wire on the transmission, and checked for continuity with a multimeter.. there is continuity between the two. I couldn't think of anything else that could cause the problem so I put everything back together. So what could it be now, a problem in the module on the transmission, or something in the pcm? All the plugs looked clean and free of corrosion.

okay, I know what you're talking about now. Its on the top of the transmission..it has two separate plugs going into it, and the cable. I had one of the plugs off, but wasn't sure how to get the other one off..it had some weird clip on it that didn't seem like it wanted to come off. I'll have to look at it monday, when the weather warms up a little.
