Asking how to add it on tells me you do not want to do this.

Slapping a supercharger onto a naturally aspirated engine won't last long. The naturally aspirated engine has a higher compression ratio. It will thrash itself to pieces. Saw a guy do it online just to see what would happen and it started making bad noises within a few minutes of idling.

So, you'll need to yank the engine, dismantle, change to supercharged rods and pistons, then reassemble. Wait, the pistons have been sweeping a different range in the cylinders than the new pistons on the new rods will. You should probably get some machine work done, at least to clean up the dimensions of the cylinders. While we're here, it'* a 21 year old engine, perhaps it needs other stuff done?

Do you have 3800 supercharged heads? You'll need those too. They place the injectors out of the way of the supercharger.

And valve covers.

And you'll need a couple of different pulleys and a tensioner for the supercharger pulley.

Some other stuff too.

Then, if you really want to use all that extra power and torque, get the transmission overhauled and beefed up to handle it.

And how about reprogramming the PCM? That'* gotta be done.

And there'* more.

In short, what carfixer007 said above ^^^^^^^ cuts to the point pretty well.

Do you have at least $6,000.00 and lots of time to put into this?

no need to be so sarcastic guys. you could just have told him how difficult it would be and expensive without the negativity.
I learned how to work on cars by trying different things like this, good or bad. That'* what makes cars so much fun. Other people read these post too, and might just think this is a crappy forum they don't want to be a part of and go elsewhere.
Just my opinion. and I do appreciate all the help you give here, I read posts all the time without saying anything.

Can't see where I was being sarcastic. I think I gave Kaylep01 a just-detailed-enough listing of what would be needed and why. They are in question form, so maybe that seems sarcastic? Opinions vary. All of these things are things that Kaylep01 needs to think about.

In the end, I've seen many folks ask about doing this for over a decade, not understand what is really needed, then end up with a basket case and no more money/time/patience/etc. to throw at it . . . and often nothing else to drive. Better to tell them up front than let them walk into it blind.

If he'* here asking how to do it, then he is opening a can of worms he does not want to do. Not everyone can pickup a wrench and know how to use it.

This is a GENERAL maintenance forum. Not a rebuild depot. Last time I checked, I'm the only ACTIVE member here that has any, 3800 extensive rebuild, swap, conversion experience than anyone else. I'm also going to tell you and everyone else. A 3800 top swap can not be done just by swapping parts. You either need HPTuners or EFiLive to do on the spot programming. Let'* also not forget a top swap 3800 produces more power than an L67 and will kill a 4T60-E in no time.

I致e got a 1996 Buick Park Avenue base model and I decided to supercharge it and it has been working out pretty well for me. I enjoy the car way more.
I probably spent between 2000 and 3000 dollars just in parts and I did it myself.
I know this thread is a little old but I壇 like to share.

This was mid process. I replaced the stock cylinder heads and lower intake manifold with the supercharger heads and manifold. I also replaced the harmonic balancer with the supercharger version. I added a different ignition coil bracket, supercharger belt tensioner along with the idler pulley below, the supercharger fuel rail and injectors, and I致e had to modify the engine bracket on this car to allow the added belt to have enough room and I also modified the throttle body to mount on the charger.
Other than that just some basic things like rerouting vacuum lines.
