The oil pressure sender is on the oil filter bracket.
I kind of wonder if it'* a vacuum leak. Check around the fuel injector, #2 is the one I would be looking at.

When you hear the noise, open the oil filler cap on the valve cover. If it goes away. The most common cause is pcv missing an o-ring. I haven't seen the vids because this place doesn't allow it... but that'* about the only thing Dan hasn't suggested, off the top of my head.
We'll a little more information. I've had two mechanics come by and look at it, one brought a stethoscope with him. They both hear the noise coming from under the rear valve cover. Just for giggles on the suggestion of one of the mechanics i changed the oil and filter with 10w30 and added a quart of Lucas Oil treatment (I dont plan on keeping the lucas in there for long). The noise is about the same if not a little more intermittent. I removed the oil filler cap and the oil filler housing while the engine was idling so I could look into the engine and didn't see any oil movement in there. I figured I'd see all kinds of oil sloshing around. I'm wondering at this point if I don't have an oil pressure issue. I've read where someone had a stuck check valve and also read where the oil pump in the late model 3800'* are pretty bullet proof so I'm not sure what to check next.
Any suggestions form here? Thanks!

If it seems to be coming from under the valve cover, you may want to remove the cover and have a look. You could also check the PCV valve. It may be stuck and what your hearing is a vacuum leak.
Thanks guys, the noise didn't stop with the Oil Cap off. Take a look at the vids for sure. I'll try to get one more in an hour or so looking into the engine with the oil cap off..
Sorry to wait so long to tie this one off. It ended up being a failed bearing keeping the oil pressure from building up. I sourced a 2004 3800 engine from a reputable junkyard with 66,000 miles on it. I had my mechanic do the new plenum when he did the engine swap it should be good to go for a while. It purrs like a kitten. I just had my fuel pump start acting up though... Starting a new thread. Thank you ALL for your help!
