2000 Buick LeSabre brights not working
have a 2000 buick lesabre and the high beams won’t come on. We replaced the dimmer switch and the drl relay and no luck. The high beam light on the instrument panel doesn’t stay on either

The DRL relay is a different unit than the high-beam relay. Have you checked the high-beam relay?
Does it come on at all?
If "yes" to the above, what action causes it to come on?
. . . and what action causes it to turn off?
Did this start happening out of the blue?
Has the can had any recent trauma ?

We can get the brights to come on if we use a wire where the drl lights are. And yes the high beam relay does work. We haven’t really drove the car since we bought it it needed some work.

OK, so low beams work......
Do your DRL'* work? These are your hi beams wired in series, thus making them only half as bright as normal...
Not sure what you mean by:
You could be having a problem with the connections in the underhood fuse block......turn your high beams on, and with the palm of your hand hit the fuse block several times(in different spots) to see if the hi beams flicker....If they do, the silver locking bolts in the blocks could be loose, or as we have seen in another post, you could have corroded contacts...
You say your hi beam relay works....try these two things, while having someone having their hand on the hi beam relay.....
1. With your low beam on, manually switch from low beam to hi beam......does someone feel the hi beam relay click when this happens?
2. With low beams on, try your "flash to pass"...does someone feel the hi beam relay click when this happens?
If the hi beams do not come on in either case, but relay clicks, try swapping a relay with the high beam one and do the test again(relay could click, but have a bad contact)....

Next step would be to test wires.
