True, gutting my l67 airbox did make idle louder, I did it to get louder supercharger noise, but it , in my opinion, made a slightly noticeable difference in that off-the-line throttle response, which may not mean much performance wise but it does say something about how restrictive they can be

I took out the funnel on mine and then added some openings on the outside. It felt a little better, but not so much that I didn't think it was in my head. So I grabbed another air box (unmodified) at the junkyard and put it on, then it felt anemic. Back to my modified one and it felt good again. So I think it does do some good on mine, especially at higher RPMs, I just didn't change it right after driving it to be able to really notice the difference. Nice to be able to hear it a little more as well.

I figure I've added at least 200HP to it by doing that.

Just kidding.

I may have added a few horsepower when it'* wound out, but mostly it just feels more willing about everything.
