1997 Buick Skylark - 2.4L head removal
It'* amazing to me that the little 1990'* Skylark has such a loyal (albeit small) following. Over the years I've seen so many people express loyalty and/or love of these things and go to lengths to keep them in good shape that almost nobody does with the Achieva, Cutlass, Grand Am, Beretta, Corsica, and Malibu that are on the same platform and sold in much higher numbers. It has always baffled me but I like that it happens.
Glad you've chosen to do so as well!
Thanks for letting us know what fixed it!

I wouldn't say it'* loyalty. It'* less expensive to fix this car than for my daughter to buy a replacement. I know the history more of this car than a used car off craigslist. It would be loyalty if it were a 79 instead of a 97.
She bought it from her grand parents cheap, she'* in a tough spot so I'm helping her out. I was fired from my job because all this covid bs, so labor was cheap, ha. Just cost her the parts.
