I have a 1997 Buick Le Sabre 3.8 with a column shift. It won't shift out of park. I need to drive it to a dealership to trade. The brake lights work fine. The trick of turning the key to on to shift does not work. Does anyone have a bypass to get it out of park? Thanks.

I have a 1997 LeSabre too. I've never had this problem, even with the battery disconnected.

Is it parked on a hill or does it have the wheels in a bind for some reason?
