I have a 1990 Buick Regal Gran Sport that I restoring. My problem is with the digital dash lights. The light cluster work fine at night. But during the day the lights are to dim for me to read.
Plus, GMC service can not find the stock number for the lights on the left side of the cluster.
Anyone have any sugestions?

Are the headlights on when the dash lights are dim?

Does it have a dash mat?

Is the dash mat covering the daylight sensor?

During day light, with the headlights off of on, the digital dash lights are dim. I can not read them. Also, the front courtesy lights are off during the day.
At night, the dash light are bright and the front courtesy lights come on.
No, no dash mat.

They are only bright enough at night not during the day.
I do not have a dash mat.

. . . and just checking: You've turned the dash light brightness all the way up, right?
