1986 Buick Regal Belts---how many?
I've got a 1986 Buick Regal 5.0 L 307 CID V8 but it is located some distance from me and I need to know how many V-belts
it has. The Chilton manuals are very vague and say "some have 3 belts, some have one serpentine belt." One online
source I found said there are four (air pump; fan and power steering;' fan to alternator and fan and air conditioning.
Arghhhh! Can anybody tell me if how many there are?

Assuming that it has air conditioning:
crank > AC > Water pump
crank > water pump > power steering
water pump > alternator
crank > smog pump
The Oldsmobile 307 is a great engine! Be sure to get the AC and power steering belts tight but not too tight. They drive the fan, water pump, and alternator.
This assumes that it hasn't been converted to serpentine etc.
