01 Century goes down when car is started
My 01 century driver window goes all the way down when the car is started. It won't go back up until the car is turned off and the key is put back in the on position. Any ideas?
No it doesn't Mike, just door switches and motors.....
So my question is, do the other three windows work normally from the master switch AND from the 3 individual switches?
If they do, then I would disconnect the master switch, and with the car running, I would jumper power and ground to the wires going to the driver'* motor, Brown and Dk blue, terminals D and E, to see if the window operates normally........
Sounds like a master switch, as long as nothing has been added to the circuit(like an alarm)......the master switch does have the express down module built into it, but it just doesn't make sense......I mean, when he turns the key to on....nothing happens until he turns to crank.......
So let me ask this again....window is up.....you turn key to start and then the window goes down, and will not go up, until you shut car off, and then turn key to back on? Then it will go up? And then it goes back down when you start the car?
Just doesn't make sense, unless some sort of wiring has been added to an accessory, and it is somehow tied into the circuit....just can't fathom a bad master switch acting this way....
