Default White Smoke on Start Up in Cold Weather? Rich Mix?

Since winter started everytime I start my '04 GXP in the morning after about 4 seconds it starts emitting white smoke out of the exhaust. The exhaust plume looks just like it does after it warms up from condensation. But after about 10 sec. it goes away and then comes back as it should after the car warms up. I have heard from a few people that some of the new cars have engine management systems that depending on the outside temp create a really rich mix (my exhaust does smell pretty rich on initial starts) on cold starts so as not to hurt the valves or other internal components and this sometimes causes white smoke on start up.

First off does anyone elses car do this? And is the "rich mix on start up" statement true?

I think I am about to answer my own question. I read a couple more threads and it sounds like what is happening is completely normal. Just condensation in the combusition chamber forming overnight. Especially because it only happens when it is cold and the car has sat for a while. Doesn't smoke while I am driving, under heavy acceleration or even when I start the car when the engine is warm after running around town. But I will keep my eye on the coolant and tranny fluid level just to make sure they don't drop.
