LOL 10% hahaha... but seriously... from my understanding the system will actually factor in how you drive, with miles, and engine run time to figure when the oil will actually need to be changed... Venom said he has changed his around 8000-9000 miles regularly because he follows when the system tells him to

I do the same. I just change it when the system tells me to. With 9000+ miles on one oil change, its really not that bad. I just changed it with 65k on the dash. I bought the car with 46k and have changed it once before this last change.

The only addition I have is check as to wether your warranty is affected by following the DIC, I know most have a strict policy regarding adhering to the 3000 oil change limit....just a thought...

States in the manual to follow the DIC... Local dealership I used to work at told its customers to not follow the 3000 miles unless they wanted to spend the money, to follow the computer... the new motors are all aluminum and keep clean easier and longer with good oil... now i believe Venom uses Mobil 1 syn for his 8k - 9k trips and you prolly wouldnt get as long of a distance on regular oil but im not 100%... i still drive a 94 l67 lol
