While the numbers have yet to be validated independently, Knott reports that in corporate testing, the SRT-8 launches from 0-60 in the "low five" second range, and is posting quarter-mile times in the "high-13" second range.

September Car and Driver - GXP in Comparo
I can't believe you guys hve given up on the GXP becuase some idiot who has an
agenda decides which car comes in first, second or third.
Let'* talk 300c and yes I put little "c". The problem off the bat with this car, is the lack of
separation from the also rans. When you've grown up/lived enough to earn the large
monthly payments, you want that car which makes your heart sing hen you get off
work. That smile that says "look at me, by golly I've done it". What you don't want, is to
discuss cars at the car wash, and find out that a look- alike ride is sitting next to yours
with 4 cylinders in it. Makes your ride seem cheapend even though you have the V-8
Hemi. And becuase it has 4 cylinders "everybody has one".
Also, FROM MY UPBRINGING, "MEN LOVE BUTTONS", "MEN LOVE JET AIRCRAFT".
I get my hands dirty, I want a muscle car with some luxury. Or, LOL, "luxury with
Attitude". If I wanted a fruit of the looms car - Mercedes, Bently, Jaguar, etc . then
i've lost the good ol american tradition, and become a WUSS with liscense.
To even justify putting the Bonneville in comparison with the Old folks Crown Vick
should have told you he was a Hater. He knows the GXP is a competitor to various
Hob ****, no frills rides like the: Acura TL, Lincoln LS, Volvo S70, LEXUS 3??, AND THE
Saab. And I doubt any of those rides would pull up to a GXP AND REV THIER ENGINES.
Are we Old??..........Naw, just gettin started. peace
