Intermediate Shaft
I think the intermediate shaft is going again. This will be the third one 16 months. The steering feels loose and i can hear a klunking whlie going over bumps. I will be bringing the car in next week and i will post here the findings.

I would be really surprised if they are actually replacing the assembly.
See link below for common repair of GM intermediate steering shaft. I had this done on my 2002 Impala under warranty and it worked for about 3 years.

I had mine replaced and let me say this the new one is far beefier then the old one.
make them replace it. My service writer made note to order one before it was released. Since i have had several GM cars/trucks with the problem we never lubed it just tossed it out.
