This is fuel to my fire. When someone tells me I can't do something, I just make it a goal to do it.
Your definitive solution to installing a CD changer, cable and having it work through the existing OEM stereo, without losing HUD or SAT radio functionality AND being able to see track/time/label data on the stereo and HUD displays?

I like it! I have no trouble writing the checks and handing someone the directions and parts.

well guys, i can tell you this, GM did have a 2000-2005 CD install kit available.....it contained teh Cable, Changer Bracket, and Trunk Carpet. This was discontinued in 2005, and is now no longer available

now that being said, I have added XM AND the CD Changer, with the Help of ddalder He hooked me up with a custom harness, that is basically a copy of the factory wiring using GM Connectors and Terminals

That if GM had that install kit, someone, somewhere should be able to come up with the part number for it, and some GM dealer(*) have some sitting on a shelf somewhere...

Well, crapola. Thanks for that. Can you share the part number? I'm thinking of putting it out on eBay as a wanted item, and see if anything pops up.

I don't know. But that would be my impetus to figure something out by reading wiring schematics.
