Hooking amp to stock stereo\cd player? - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

you get your rca signal from the rear speakers they male adapters and you will still have sound from the rear deck

you will need to get a line level converter that will connect to the rear speakers and provide a line level signal suitable for your amp to handle. Make sure that the signal being delivered to the speakers is not already amplified. The part you need should cost about $20.

pending what amp you have...i have a jensen for my 6x9s...and it has high level inputs...you put this litltle piece in the amp(which came w/ for free) and then you hook up the right pos speaker and the left negative and a power from battery and a ground and it works....
