How are the GXP headlights setup for installation? From what I have read they do not accept the ball and socket joint on my car. So, what type of retainer does it have and would GXP'* work on my car?

If it is ok to do so I am going to bump the thread. I am thinking about trading that guy on ebay and need to know if these will mount in my car ok. I know someone knows how these GXP'* are held in!

I am not real clear on what you are trying to accomplish as the headlights should be the same as yours according to your pictures.

But, on the GXP headlights there is a plastic piece at the bottom that slides into a slot as you slide the headlight back into place, there is also a "ball and socket" type connector on the side where it "pops" into place at the fender, and then there are 2 bolts that are used to tighten the headlight down once it is slid into place.

I believe that describes them pretty well and I hope it helps you out.

Thank you very much. That is exactly what I was looking for. After reading some other threads I was under the impression that the ball and socket joint had been eliminated on the newer cars. I just needed to know if they were going to be a direct fit or would require modification.
