No that'* not normal for the battery. I've had my stereo on for a couple hours detailing the car and it started fine. And I don't listen to low, especially in my own yard. Pretty sure yours in on the way out. It is 6-7 years old depending on it'* manufacture date. I'd replace. Aging batteries tax the alternator.

Yea, im going to tell them to just replace it with a GM battery.. I def don't trust wally world batterys and for the price i would have to pay at the auto part stores i can just get the OEM battery from the dealership.. I think they is right under $100 last time i check on the website..

It'* not the sending unit.. It'* the speedO cluster.. The fuel gauge reads correctly sometimes judging by the Gallons used... Also the Volt meter is doing the same thing now!!!

Have to wait to hear back from Ron. But in 7 years now we haven't recorded a single GXP sending unit failure here (But quite a few instrument clusters) Not that we aren't due one given their present age. I don't believe your 2001SLE has the same integrated cluster issue and may well be the sending unit. In the end advice on the internet is limited when two or more components control an event such as the gas gauge reading incorrectly. But I would hedge on your sending unit given the age of the Bonne and lack of complaints about that year'* gauges.
