Wondering if the motor mount we are seeing fail ever more often is caused by pot holes/jarring? I have been nitrousing here and there for 3 years and not a problem. (Yet) Knock on wood. Somehow after driving it like I hate it for 43k miles hasnt given one problem other than the IM shaft. Knock on wood.

Has anyone run into an aftermarket version that might standup a little longer? I had an old Firebird hot rod that I chained down because I kept ripping the motor mount.

I seriously doubt you could find such an animal for a GXP. I've never seen anything aftermarket for the GXP other than a generic Granatelli MAF and a lame translator from JetChip that slightly bends timing and fuel maps.
Chain.....HAHAHA!!!!!! Done the same as a kid to keep a 400 c.i. motor out of a 442 down in a '63 Impala w/ the automatic out of a station wagon. Mated together with the ends of two different drive shafts. Hacked off and welded back together in the driveway. It was a rusted ugly POS but opened alot of eyes as came out of the hole leaving the other lane gawking at the rear bumper held on on one end with some silver painted parachute cord.
Hmmmm. and they say you cant get an LS1 inn a GXP. If only she wasnt so purdy......

ROFL! I should have had some of that for that bumper. She cut through the cord jiggling around and it looked pretty fubar when we turned around on the interstate to pick it up.
