Well I am embarrass to say that I found there is an aftermarket remote starter installed in the vehicle. I had purchase the vehicle from a dealer that didn't know a thing abvout the car and when I question him about the button, he said it might have something to do about the onstar. Live and learn. Thanks to everybody who responded. I wish I had join this club long ago. Thanks. I am from the Northeast and really could have used that starter this season. Good thing the heated seats work so well

Jim, could you tell us a little more about this aftermarket starter, Brand?, Does it work good? I really miss the remote start on my LaCrosse CXL and would like to make the Bonnie the same.>>AND GOD BLESS the heated seats

05GXP, was it hard to put in and where did you get it....The electronics of this car worry me as to putting addons. But the cold lasts 6-7 months here.
I really miss the remote start on my LaCrosse.

if your a DIY person, like most of us on here are...it can be tricky w/o the service manuals...most of the time shops will include installation in the price of the starter
