Default 2005 GXP Front Strut Question

So I am still having front suspension issues after trips to 2 Dealers. Problem feels like loss of dampening when going over bumps. Gxp has 115k and the dealer and warranty company replaced the front sway bar bushings, no change in ride. I want to replace the front struts since at 115k it is unreasonable to think that they aren't shot. Do I go with stock FE5'*, or is there an upgraded strut/spring combo that I can install myself?

I've not had to put a set of struts on my GXP as of yet, but I would suggest Monroe struts. They seem to be a good alternative to the stockers, and I've had good luck with them on my Grand Prix.

There'* not much in the way of "upgraded" when it comes to Bonneville suspension. I changed out my SE to full GXP FE5 and there was a major difference, so just make sure whatever you get was made to be equivalent to the GXP FE5 otherwise you might wind up with something that is FE3 or lower (i.e. something for the SLE or SSEi)
