Default **Need Throttle body help**

<edit to post , Fri. Feb. 5 I Started this post to find some basic knowledge of what engine was and what it came in and after 5 days and learned a few tidbits.GM is tightlipped bout engine, it doesnt have any gm racing applications so that makes it harder to figure out what mods will work and where the heck to get em. i thank the people who helped and ask that posts on LD8 go in Intense'* post (why 275 hp?) as I feel I'm stepping on his idea for post and hindering the collection of a database for engine. and thanx gm4life, toasted oats, and elmachogeracho for your input..I'm going to start watching Intenses thread and editing similarty of mypost subject out~thanx DIZ ...OMG sounding like a moderator, quess years are catchin up with the life long hippie.
Re-edit Feb.3 changed post title cause I need help NOT trying to give help

I recently bought a Nitrous oxide kit for my Northstar and i will posts pics when It'* in and that will trick it out nicely for those little displays of power,... but I spent alot of cash so far and would like to take to the track in the future after the warranty and for a double fogger ( a later ugrade to nitrous) I need alot more cfm. Anyone know for sure which other GM models with exact engine model as ours. If someone came forward and could tell me a bigger rated throttle body that would just bolt on,I would fall over dead and get back back up and run to GM and buy it. Fingers and toes crossed for news that Intense puts out a PCM-the checks ready to mail. Thanx~ Diz

Wait a min....the 4.6 has an option for a 90mm TB?!

The Aurora 4.0 has a 72mm, with the option for boring to 80mm, as well as the mounting plate to match. I had NO idea the 4.6 had a 90mm TB

I need this verified. If so, can it be adapted to another variant of the Northstar..ie a 4.6L TB mounted to the 4.0 intake.

whoooooooooooooooooo! nelly! not even sure of Northstar throttle body size yet , just seeing if their throttle body can be adapted but looks like have to pay for custom mounting plate and would put current pcm in a tizzy, anyway. I'm the kind of guy who put a carter afb on a 65 mustang with an adapter plate after dremeling out the two barrel manifold enuff to accomadate the cfm....had to do things that way , way back when and its sad to see kids these days rely on bolt on aftermarket mods. think the northstar orphan might have to use some of that old backyard philosophy. Anyway it'* nitrous for now and I'm gonna keep brainstorming.

Do I smell burnin gears or somethin?
