Actually as long as you are feeding the sub good clean power it isn't hard on it all.
It'* distortion not overpowering that blows speakers.

Check out caraudio.com and read up some on the Type R. It'* a great sub for the money because it handles gobs of power. www.thecaraudiobox.com also have plenty of videos with people demonstrating the Type R with 1,000+ WRMS. As long as you set up everything correctly (big ported box) and know what you're doing (gains), the woofer is fabolous. Some guys are running 1.5k RMS daily to them but I'm not going to push it that much.
