I was not going to bridge the amp when running 2 4 ohm subs. I know better than that.
I was just simply asking if I could run short wires from one sub to the other, and then run the wires to the amp. That is all I was curious about.

No, you don't want to go that route. Pos and neg from one channel on the amp to one sub.

actually that amp is 2 ohm stable as are many other two channel amps. By bridging that thing parallel you can get 250 watts by 2 at 2 ohms.

If you are going to run bridged: Yes, you can run (+) and (-) from the amp to the first sub and then from (+) of sub1 to (+) of sub2 and the (-)sub1 to (-)sub2. It is exactly the same as running a separate pair of wires from each sub to a single pair of terminals on your amp. Either way it is a parallel setup.
For series setup you would run (+)amp to (+)sub1 and (-)sub1 to (+)sub2 then (-)sub2 to (-)amp.
Hopefully that answers your original (actual) question.

On a side note, the RF Punch 500a2 is rated 2ohm for 2-chanel use, it is only rated 4ohm for bridged use. If you need help with what wiring gives what load on the amp post your subs (or at least their ohm specs) and we can give you the options.

Also, when you build the box you SHOULD divide the subs. If they are not divided, and you loose power to one sub the other one would force the dead one to move and could damage it.

that is true but if you ask any amplifier or sub manufacturer, they will say to build a shared chamber box. and that is what I would do too, and I don't really beleive that it will instantly damage the sub more so it will have wayyy too much air space which will cause it to under perform

big rockford guy right here, if i was you and i was runnin 2 perfects and a p5002 i would bridge it and then run the wires from the amp into one terminal on the box and use some jumpers to carry that signal over to the other sub. my suggestion to you witha punch amp is mount it freely some how so it has ample breathing... and set up the frequency around 80 some where and make sure lp filter is selected... let me know if u need some help...

Link to the manual for your amp. It is NOT 2ohm stable while running bridged. As I said, if you hook it up that way...it'll play...but none of your gear will last as long as it should.

I previously owned a 500a2, and still have two 800a2'* laying around somewhere, great amps...last era of RF Punch stuff that I ever really liked.

I must retract my prior comment in regards to bridging the amp at 2 ohms. I concede
