Finally! The absolute worst wiring nightmare for me is when my amp has a loose connection for the power antenna. One week later and this was steadily becoming worse. I burned up the cable line referencing the forum. Two weeks ago I tweeked the gain on the amp and on the preouts, lo and behold it was several days before anything was noticed, but I went right back there, checked everything that I had touched and then started checking every imaginable ground. And you know there are a lot of them. No success forced me back to the amp. I disconnected the antenna to isolate a problem but that did not help, only shut down the audio altogether. Buuut, when I reattached the spade connector Bingo, no more whine, static. Just pure Lynyrd Skynyrd, "They call me the breeze" And with that I will say good night, thanks a lot for all your help. I would not have won without your support.
