Wiring - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Advance, Autozone, Pepboys...

Most autostores will have it was well.

Wire colors will probably match right up..from your new head unit to the adapter. And the adapter will have the wiring for the conector.

If you need a couple extra wires added to the connector for power antenna etc and snap a pic of the packaging your connector comes in and send it to me.. I might have extra wires you can add in.

the power antenna gets its signal from the remote turn on wire on an aftermarket HU.

You will need an antenna adapter for the actual wire that the signal goes through.

the signal from the the antenna (the one that actually carries the music) is a completely different wire that looks like a coax.(sorta)

the remote turn on and wire for the power antenna should be in the adapter you buy.

Right...SHOULD.. however I found out in most cases they are NOT. Hence why I have extra wires and am willing to share with anyone that wants them.
