Default What speakers are in a '02-'03 SSEi with Monsoon?

Hi,

I know there are 8 speakers, but what sizes are they are where are they located?

I assume (2) 6x9 in the rear and (2) 6.5 in the front doors - what are the other 4?

Anyone know what kind they are?

Thanks!

Ok, so here is what I found.....

This page was customized to show only speaker sizes that work with your 2002 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE*.

The speaker sizes that go in your car, along with their location are:

Front: 6-1/2"
Rear: 6" x 9"
Front door: 6-1/2"
Rear deck: 6" x 9"

Ok..., so, I assume by Rear 6x9 they mean rear door?

here is the sizes for the BOSE or MONSOON available in the SSEi

Front door
1" tweeter
6.5"

Rear Door
5.25

Rear deck
6X9"

If you dont have an SSEi then the speaker sizes are the same, except the SE and the SLE didnt have speakers in the Rear Doors

Hi,

Thanks!!

It is impossible to find any info on the 20K Bonneville'* audio system on the net....strange...

So there are 1" tweeters in the front door also to make the 8 speakers.....

Why would they put 5.25 speakers in the rear? Odd... especially with 6.5 in the front...

So if I want to upgrade the speakers, I need to look for 6.5 components for the fronts...

I wonder if you can replace the 5.25 rear door ones with 6.5 with a little cutting... ?

Any idea on the amp that is in the system?

THANKS A LOT!!

the moonsoon amp is not powerful when compared to aftermarket options. or even a 'good' amp...in terms of stock car audio it is just above average.

replacing all the speakers and amping them and obviously a new headunit is the best choice when considering a 'good' car audio system for your car. the difference in quality will be night and day. ask anyone with a fully custom car audio setup using none of the factory componenets(amps, hu, speakers, wiring, etc.)

good luck with your decision...
