yea but most companies dont publish there RMS ratings

Why do you say that? I could pull up these specs from every manufacturers website if I wanted to. They publish them because that'* what Informed buyers are looking for, who'* opinion generally gets listened to.

no i didnt mean that you couldnt find them, you are right you have to look at the companies manual or webiste.....im saying that a headunit that says 50X4 really is only putting out something like 20-23 RMS max

I just checked out pioneer, rockford, and sony sorry i do not like them but I could not find the rms on the sights I do not know if i was looking in the wrong locations. BTW can you explain what RMS is?

I just posted one from fosgate...

Good stores will have RMS figures on their product tags. Boxes should have decent lists of specs on them, etc. Head units are all pretty close (save the ones with direct 8 ga hookup, those have balls).
