Default taking power from engine?

Ive just hooked up my system which consists of an alpine deck, a jensen 1000 watt amp,2 alpine 6x9 *-types,and 2 12inch mtx road thunders which are 300 watts each. Now that all of it is hooked up my car seems more sluggish is it possible that the system is taking power from my engine?

unless your engine runs off of joules instead of gas i doubt it

if you really think it is causing you a problem which i guarantee it'* not, wouldn't it make sense just to disconnect the main power wire then drive around and see if it goes away.
