Subwoofer Upgrade - Page 2 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Your amp only powers the subs with one channel when bridged.
i have no preference as to quantity, but as you said before... 15" does scare me a bit... ive never heard a 15 sound good, but then again i have never really heard a GOOD 15

A Brama 15" Dual 4, or XXX 15" would suprise the hell out of you. They do take a lot of space though, especially in ported boxes. But a ported 12 would be more then you'll ever need too...

God thing about XBL motors http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/XBL2TechPaper.pdf

It is $450 on their site though...

how would a 12" brahma or XXX work in a sealed box?... i dont like the idea of having one huge box and no trunk space...

while both of those woofers excel in ported boxes, they are still awesome sealed.

The XXX is well worth every penny... but MAKE sure you have the highs and mids to back it up. Nothing worse than sitting in your own pool of bass that you spent 400 dollars on and cannot here your components.
