Where is the best place to put subs and what is the best size for subs, say in a 1995 bonneville sse?

All depends what you want. You can go with 2 10" subs for tight responsive bass, 2 12" for louder subs, Id go with the 2 10'*, & set them up for redirected bass.

i'd put 2 12'* against the back seat facing the trunk. having the fold down armrest is also a plus!

Only if you leave that opeing open. If you have one solid box going across it really doesnt do all that much cuz you are blocking the passage way. Thats why I took out my 6x9'* cuz they kept on popping because the bass had no breather so to speak. Once I removed the 6x9'* the bass was definently louder, & the trunk did not rattle as bad.

my stock 6x9s popped beacuse of the thin paper cone. when i upgraded to boston rm9s...the problem was solved

True they do quit popping if you replace them. But the amount of air is still there and still forcing them to go further than they are supposed to. Thats why its good to completely seperate the 6x9'* in their own sealed enclosure.

2 10'* ...use ebay or shopping.yahoo.com....great site for cheap crap...i saw a like 2200watt amp for like 350 bucks...retail wa slike 800

But most of those things are refurbished or gray area quality. Ask the seller if the items are refurbished before bidding on anything.

that is right.. you can build a box or be lazy and surround it with some sound deadening carpet ( can't think of the name.. gettin late now )
