Can anyone direct me to the post on putting a sub in the rear deck between the 6x9'*? I've seached and found a number of ways to conserve trunk space a get a little bump in my trunk, but this sounds some what interesting if i can duplicate or modify the install, for my meager needs.

a woofer will go no lower than a coaxial. its a gimmick
a pair of 10" subs in the rear deck would be nice, and all you would need is 130W rms for each sub for them to reach maximum excursion. no cutting or boxes either. just make a baffel out of 3/4" MDF and mount it to the deck

yah you will have to do some cutting. to put one in the middle of the 6x9s is gonna be tougher and yah you will only fit an 8. i popped 10s in the back and im thinkin bout sealing boxes up underneath to push more power. thats the only bad thing about baffle board mounting is that you have to cut the rms basically in half so if you wanna run nice subs with lots of power thats probally not the way to go. i just basically am using them as 6x9 replacements but am most likely gonna get some better subs and a higher amp for them. oh yah and dont forget to add some highs like tweeters because you will need some high notes in the back

if a tweeter is thrown in the back, theres going to be a huge gap between 3kHz-500Hz.
you dont even need rear fill, youre the one driving the car
