ok guys just a question i've noticed that the steering controls will not work unless the 4th peice of the wiring harness isnt put in does anybody know where that i can wire it in on another factory unit to make the controls work???

oops yes haro its a factory harness on a 1991 bonneville SE and i want to update to a newer model cd player i tried a newer cassette and the other radio didnt have a place for the steering control part of the harness so i wonder if i can wire it into another part of the harness and make it work, thanks for the help

to get the steering wheel controls to work with an aftermarket deck, you need a PAC SWI-X

Actually i want to make them work with a factory deck, but its so hard to find a used deck from a car with steering wheel controls, so it has the extra spot in the back of the deck for the remote plug, so im just wondering if i can hard wire the remote control into the other part of the harness and make it work that way :?:
