steering wheel control - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

to get the steering wheel controls to work with an aftermarket deck, you need a PAC SWI-X

Actually i want to make them work with a factory deck, but its so hard to find a used deck from a car with steering wheel controls, so it has the extra spot in the back of the deck for the remote plug, so im just wondering if i can hard wire the remote control into the other part of the harness and make it work that way
