corvettecrazy, I like the way yours came out. It allows subs, and decent box space, and allows functionality of the car'* pass through and spare tire access. Nicely done. If I was to add subs, I might want it done your way. I wouldn't mind seeing the boxes mounted higher, maybe to vent through the rear dash.

What kind of music do you listen to? Sound quality sounds like it'* your number 1 concern, since you don't need to blow out your ears. A good sealed box can fill these goals to the letter.

Generally a 12" will hit lower then a comprable 10". A sealed box with a good mid range priced 12" driver would be perfect with a good amp. I'd suggest something like a JL 12w3, Alpine Type E or R, Infinity Kappa, an Adire Audio, etc

I don't know if there is a Alpine Type * sub, but the 5-1/4 Alpine Type *'* I have are sweet -can't wait until I have another vehicle to put them in -not puttin em in the 90 SSE -it'* staying pretty much stock.
Otherwise, for a nice cheap sub the Infinity Reference Series is an affordable unit.

Others of interest: Diamond Audio, Focal (a litte more spendy even for the entry level), Kicker, and Eclipse. There'* more but that'* all I can think of for now.

As for the box, a sealed box of approx. 1 cu. ft. should be fine.

I have a 1.5 Cu. ft. box for my 12" Infinity and I am running about 400 WRMS to it -sounds great, not over-bearing unless I really crank the volume and gain control on the amp, but it really sounds good with Metallica'* *&M album (you'll fall in love with this album all over again).

Can't stand RAP.........other than that I listen to just about anything. Classic rock and XM channel 41 "The Boneyard" are what I listen to the most.
Looking for a 5 channel to run everything. I've been thinking either Memphis,Kicker or Hifonics. Not sure about the components yet but the sub will prolly be Kicker.

Arc Audio 5150 is a killer 5 channel or a Memphis Belle
