Default Schosche wire harness for 00+

I just got the wireharness to install a cd player in my brother'* 00 SLE Bonneville and I got the schosche unit from cardomain for his car.. This harness has SIX 'dimmer' wires which are brown, and one "illumination" wire which is orange. any ideas why they'd include six dimmer wires? Seems real odd to me. :? My Metra harness didn't have any of the brown wires on it.

Just YANK (literally) the BROWNS outta the ribbon adapter

the orange wire is your illumination connection

red 12v switched NEEDS 12v to enable the 'tenna booster

correct they are redundent and usless. the only good thing about that harness is you can run your door speaker wires to it....getting to the door is a biatch.....and you will need to run seprate 12 volt for it to work the one in the harness does not work for some reason.
