Running wire through firewall HELP
i have a 89 bonneville and i cant find a place to run the power wire through the firewall and back through to the trunk any help ideas?
if all else fails, find an area where there is no wires, drill a hole with a step bit, *****use a gromet**** and run it through that way. If your back seat doesnt fold down, use something like a stretched out wire hanger and feed it through the bottom corner between the seat and door. connect it to the end of the power cable with electric tape and spray a little windex on the cable and pull the wire hanger/cable through from the trunk. Installers use that method everyday. Hope this helps
i found a hole now i cant get my stupid aftermarket radio to work it gets power but nothing from the speakers? i have a wiring diagram of my car thats color coded and i still cant get any static or anything.
Did you add an aftermarket radio to a factory bose or monsoon system? Or were you running that wire to an amp for your speakers? If you have a factory amplified system, you need to give the factory amp a remote turn on power just like an aftermarket amp.
Its just the base model LE i cant get any noise from the radio at all. im getting power to the headunit(alpine) but no sound??? so i dont think i would have an amp its not the bose or monsoon stereo just the plain 4 speaker system
