Default Remote wiring question

I want to keep the stock head unit because I don't want to lose the steering wheel controls in my car. I know that I have to run a line converter off the rear speakers. My problem is with the remote wire for the amp. Is it possible to splice this into the power antenna? Or would this just fry something?

You could probably get away with pulling one device off the antenna wire. If you put any more than that (say 2 amps and a crossover) I would get a relay and use the on/off wire to run the relay and let the relay take the power hit, not the antenna. I had to do this with my old setup because it was drawing so much power that not everything would turn on at the same time. :?

I run my Pioneer 760W amp and my MTX Crossover on my power antenna and it doesn't do anything bad... The antenna works normal and is alot easier then running a wire from the fuse box...

The "remote" connection on amps is a type of relay and draws little power.
