so i have been working on my system tonight, everything is in but the remote wire from the amp... i've read and searched this site until the point of throw in my computer! i saw that everybody runs the wire to the power antena. SO which wire on the antena do i run it to? thanks in advance
you want the remote turn on, so that when the RADIO is on the amps are on. you can use the power antenna to get the RTO signal, but what happens when you have a CD and the power antenna is not extended??
its better just to take the extra time to run it to the Radio

Pat, that depends on the headunit he is running. My Kenwood does not power down the antenna when I put a CD in. Only when power from the radio is cut is the time the ant. comes down.
But again, this is all specific to the headunit maker. So the question is...what headunit are you using and does the antenna go down with CD or AUX selections?

when i had a system in my GA my remote wire on my amps ran straight to the battery with a switch down beside my seat so I could shut my subs completely off when i wanted to. You could also run it off the accessory line on the back of the stereo.
