If your just looking for the simplest one, nothing fancy, Presteige by Audiovox is pretty decent. I've owned countless units, a handful of them being starter/alarms, and have had not one complaint. (they all went with the car when trading/selling)

I haven't had any experience with them for a couple of years, but if you can find somewhere to buy one wholesale, you'll get a damn good system for a great price.

DEI stuff, in general, is pretty simple. Easy to install as well. GM cars (well, most anything older than 2005, minus Impala's and there stupid diode-isolating the headlamp line, but thats another matter) are super easy to do.

Then again, I've had to use relay's on other vehicles to wake up module's so keyless entry systems would work.

Anyways.... GM vehicles are easy to do. I could walk you through it.
