Ive installed Nordic (prostart), Viper and Compustar. They al have theyre strogn and weak points. Voltage sensing or alternator sensing is a good feature because you dont have to run a tach wire, some have reversible polarity door locks, parking lights and door triggers built in so you dont have to use relays. Also programming procedures are all differant. If you have a competent installer any name brand system should suit you just fine.

Even though voltage sensing is nice, tach is much more reliable.
In my bay, I will not let my installer'* do voltage sensing, unless is a certain few vehicle'*.

I've had the compustar (not sure what model #) remote start/two-way pager on my car for about 6 months. No complaints, the range is pretty amazing sometimes (I think its advertized as 3000'). I was also able to have a proximity sensor added on as well which is really nice.
