I think alot of it the model and price range. My Alpine 400W recently took a dump. I don't drive it hard but 5 years and poof, it'* fried. Fuses fine, bla, bla, bla. No output. Guess I shouldn't complain. 5 years for $179.

i get what you're saying, my amp has off 15 25 also and I have it on 25 and it does have a sort of hollow sound, ill bump it down to 15hz
