Sort of. You keep buying new equipment till you have what you want. Both SPL and SQ with no sacrifices. I recently reached that point after trying out 5 other subs.

I tried two MTX 5500'*, a Kicker L5, an Alpine R12, a Hifonics 15" 1600W, two Image Dynamics IDQ10'*, and now I have everything I've been looking for with my IDMax10.

I've also given up on car audio to some extent now that I have what makes me happy. I've discovered car audio is much too expensive and the results are much too disappointing for the money spent. I've transitioned to home audio. Completely different realm when you're building your own speakers. You start to realize that expensive botique speakers that sell for $2500 use nothing more than the available $40 drivers and a well designed crossover. When you have experts designing amazing crossovers and you can build a set of speakers for $250 that blow away any set of $2500 speakers you find on any store shelf, you start to realize why so many people get into it and never get out.

BTW, that sub is insane. Nice amp. Get some videos of that thing!

yea i know ive had alot of systems, but i have lost no money in it, ive actually got to experiment with differant combos, upgrade for free and make pretty good money.

I hooked this amp up quickly before i traded the guy to make sure it worked properly but i wanted to see what it would do when i got home, so i threw a spare sub i had lying around into a 2.5cu ft box and hooked it up. it put my Fi to shame... its actually unenjoyable its so loud, i have since detuned it, I actually watched the bass spin the little screw out of my girlfriends sunglasses the side arm thing fall off! lol.

might be selling this spare sub im using temporarily this weekend, so ill have no choice but to run this Opti

I'll keep u all posted

SQ > SPL

That'* just my opinion though. Once I add a good sub I'll have my sound system all buttoned up.
